The old cobbled street that rises up to Knutsford's magnificent church is
known as Church Hill and here you'll find The Church Hill Gallery. The Gallery is
housed in a beautiful listed building, dating back to the 17th century, which
for more than a century was a grocers shop.
Proud of the buildings history,
the gallery's owner Andrew Mount, restored the vaulted ceiling
in the cellar, where vinegar was once stored in vats. Andrew also designed solid oak
fittings (inspired by the gothic atmosphere of the nearby church) to display
their range of handmade gifts, interesting stationery, ribbons and giftwrap,
and imaginative, unusual cards.
These attractive items represent just one of
the Gallery's three main enterprises.
